Literacy Craft: Mini Puppet Stage (LIBRARY MAKE)

Of the five early literacy practices recommended to parents – talking, singing, reading, writing, and playing – playing is one of our favorites.  Through creative play, your child can explore the world in a safe space, and by playing pretend, your child can practice telling stories.  The ability to tell a story, AKA narrative skills, is an essential pre-literacy skill.

This mini puppet stage, plus some simple puppets, can be easily made from items you already have at home; plus, they’ll have your child pretending and telling stories in no time!  Watch the video below, or read the instructions with these printable instruction sheets.
