There’s no better way to celebrate a BIG Library Make birthday than with an activity that focuses on a favorite early literacy practice of mine, PLAY!
This DIY book is an engaging and fun way for you and your child to play together while learning something new. Learning new letters, numbers, shapes, and colors can be an interactive process while using their fabric book to play. By also incorporating different textures and sounds in your book, sensory needs can also be met to create a richer experience.
Your fabric book should reflect your child’s favorite colors, animals, shapes, and textures. If they know that the book was made just for them and it has all of their favorite things in it, the book becomes even more special.
